We are looking to hire an ISO Chassis/Trailer Mechanic to maintain trailer chassis by installing and repairing brakes, suspension parts, pneumatic and hydraulic system parts. This colleague must also be an experienced welder. Shift Hours: Monday through Friday, start between 6:00 AM and 8:00 AM, 8 hour shift This position is for our Channelview, TX branch at 16230 DeZavala Road. Pay Range: $17.00 to $37.00 per hour, dependent on experience. Skill-based pay rate reviews and potential increases every 6 months.

Requirements

Must have at least 3 years experience as a Chassis/Trailer Mechanic
Possess strong communication skills
Detailed oriented
Ability to effectively prioritize work
Ability to thrive in a team environment
High school diploma or GED

Responsibilities

Repair frames and metal truck trailers
Modify and reconstruct chassis
Installing electric wiring for dome lights and tailgates
Fitting and assembling components
Use hand tools and portable power tools
Ability to effectively and efficiently inspect trailers to align with DOT standards
Welding as needed
