We are currently seeking a motivated Trader Trainee to join our North American team for a 12-month trainee program, which may lead to a full-time position upon successful completion. The ideal candidate should exhibit curiosity, resilience, a growth mindset, adaptability to change, and a strong team spirit. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience in trading industrial minerals by engaging with suppliers and customers, supporting the execution of transactions, and developing essential trading skills. You will learn to navigate our supply chains and contribute to building profitable outcomes for the organization. This position is located in New Jersey, and domestic travel may be required.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field
Experience: 0-3 years related/professional work experience
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A passion for learning about metals and raw materials trading
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)
Willingness to adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage risk and uncertainty
Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment
Desire to succeed and to become a Trader

Responsibilities

Participate in the purchasing and sales process of industrial minerals, supporting sourcing from suppliers to concluding contracts with buyers.
Build and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers.
Conduct market research and analysis to support new business development initiatives.
Assist in resolving claims effectively and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and open communication.
Ensure compliance with internal requirements and legal regulations.
