Responsible for maintaining electrical, plumbing, and other repair needs related to the Harmar OTB. Assists in repairs of kitchen equipment. Troubleshoots and repairs minor plumbing and electrical problems. General knowledge of OSHA requirements and understanding/compliance with safety procedures. Maintains property appearance by repairing walls, floors, carpeting, and painted surfaces as needed. Assists Maintenance department with projects as assigned. Reports back to The Meadows Facility Manager regarding any major repairs. Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and two (2) years of Engineering or facilities maintenance experience in hospitality or related field required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; must be fluent and literate in English.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, mechanical, or finishing trades.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Must have basic math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge of the proper operation of hand and power tools.
  • Ability to work in small areas, high areas such as catwalks, and dimly lit areas.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to work all shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as business needs dictate.
