The TPM Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the operation of his or her department, utilizing the materials, personnel, machines, money and methods available to produce quality parts in the quantities necessary, in the time specified. The supervisor may delegate areas of authority to his/her assistant/relief as necessary by area or by shift, but total responsibility remains with the department Supervisor. Essential Job Functions: 1. Plan and coordinates schedule of preventive maintenance for equipment. 2. Reviews manufacturers’ service manuals to determine optimum frequency of preventive maintenance. 3. Work with supervisors to determine when planned maintenance will least interfere with operations. 4. Estimates costs and supplies to be used during scheduled maintenance. 5. Maintain records of planned and completed TPM projects 6. Work as a team member to assist the Maintenance department. 7. Assist with trouble shooting and repairs of all equipment. 8. Duties may require some off shift work and also may require a Cell phone to be worn so repairs can be made expeditiously. 9. Help develop plans for reconstruction or installation of new equipment. 10. May direct and coordinate activities of maintenance workers. 12. Determine and maintain a planned Maintenance schedule for every piece of equipment where parts are replaced before they fail. The schedule is based on manufactures recommendation as well as performance history. 13. Ensure proper execution of PM and TPM tasks performed by production and maintenance personnel.
