About The Position

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES · Provide extensive on-the-job training, coaching, mentoring, and technical guidance to tool room apprentices and team members, with a strong emphasis on safe work practices and quality workmanship. · Partner with the Tool Room Manager to coordinate daily work assignments, priorities, and resource needs while reinforcing safety and quality expectations. · Support production by troubleshooting tooling, dies, and production equipment issues in a safe, efficient, and quality-focused manner. · Assist with and/or lead new die development and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring safety and quality standards are met. · Manage inventory levels of ACCRA tooling, including tracking usage, identifying shortages, and communicating replenishment needs to support uninterrupted production. · Participate in PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) and other continuous improvement activities within the tool room, with consideration given to safety, quality, and efficiency. · Attend meetings as required to support production, safety, quality, and continuous improvement efforts. · Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant work environment in accordance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards. · Be available to work over or under shift as business needs require. · Facilitate clear communication between shifts through email, shift reports, and verbal handoff to ensure continuity of work, safety awareness, and quality expectations. · Ensure departmental requirements for G.E.A.R. activities are met and properly documented.
