About The Position

The Tool Room Machinist II is responsible for performing set-ups and running previously processed programs. They will work both independently and in a team environment, collaborating with Engineering, Planners, and Quality.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent required, related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2-4 years of previous work experience with mills, lathes, and grinders.
Basic knowledge of geometry and trigonometry.
Ability to read program and has a full understanding of what the program is doing.
Able to read basic blueprints and use various measuring equipment.
Able to work to tolerance of +/- .001”.
Possess a basic working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Must be able to clearly, concisely, and accurately convey information to others, both verbally and in written form.

Responsibilities

Set-up and run previously processed programs, under limited supervision.
With guidance and direction, calculate feeds and speeds, and tool selection.
Report problems, deviation, or quality concerns to senior level Machinist or Supervisor.
Change tooling on specified machine.
Transact parts accordingly.
Participate in and sustain 5S Standards.
Participate in 5s workplace organization activities and maintain the area in good working order through sustainment activities.
Must follow all required Safety and ISO procedures.
Regular on-site attendance and punctuality is a necessary function of this position.
May be required to work in other functional areas and/or facilities depending on business needs.
May be required to work overtime or alternate shifts based on business needs.
Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
