About The Position

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Tool Room / Parts Room Coordinator to oversee inventory, tooling, and maintenance parts operations within a manufacturing environment. This role is critical in supporting maintenance and production teams by ensuring accurate inventory control and timely availability of parts and tools. The ideal candidate will have experience working within a CMMS, ERP, or SAP system , along with a strong background in maintenance parts and inventory management.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a tool room, parts room, maintenance storeroom, or inventory role within manufacturing
  • Experience using a CMMS, ERP, or SAP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle NetSuite, IBM Maximo, Fiix, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of industrial maintenance parts (bearings, motors, gearboxes, sensors, pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical components)
  • Experience with inventory control methods (cycle counting, FIFO, min/max systems)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar tools
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with maintenance, production, and purchasing

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment (automotive, food production, metals, plastics, etc.)
  • Familiarity with preventive and predictive maintenance programs
  • Vendor management and purchasing experience
  • Forklift certification or material handling experience

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the tool room and parts room , including issuing, receiving, and tracking inventory
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels of MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) parts , tools, and consumables
  • Utilize a CMMS / ERP system to:- Track inventory, parts usage, and transactions Support maintenance work orders and preventive maintenance activities Maintain accurate records for parts and equipment
  • Establish and manage min/max levels, reorder points, and safety stock
  • Coordinate with maintenance technicians to ensure parts availability for repairs and PMs
  • Source and order parts, working with vendors and purchasing teams
  • Organize, label, and maintain storage areas for efficient access and control
  • Conduct cycle counts and periodic inventory audits to ensure accuracy
  • Track critical spare parts to minimize equipment downtime
  • Assist with vendor management and lead times for critical components
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory and maintenance processes
