About The Position

Effectively provide the technical documentation necessary to fabricate efficient, effective high quality tooling for primary and secondary operations.

Requirements

  • Able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Associate’s degree (A.S.) and a minimum of four years related experience and/or training; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with CAD design software; intermediate computer skills including MS office
  • Gaging, Methods/Design, Geometric Tolerance experience
  • Strong knowledge and application of geometry and trigonometry; ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and other customer drawings/designs requirements.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from project team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and Design tooling to produce parts that meet customer quality expectations.
  • Successfully interprets customer’s designs and needs according to customer blueprints and specifications.
  • Create preliminary design work for quotes as required.
  • Maintain accuracy of tooling designs and documentation as needed.
  • Requisition of appropriate tooling materials.
  • Participates in design reviews with appropriate in-house key personnel to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Ensure the accuracy, feasibility and economics of each new tool design.
  • Consults with in-house departments/operations regarding tool design.
  • Maintains a high level of proficiency in the operation of the CAD System.
  • Understand and follow all quality systems procedures.
  • Collaborate with coworkers in continuous Improvement activities and the idea system.
  • Maintains an organized, clean and safe work environment and follows 6S standards
  • Properly follows all H&M procedures and policies.
  • Uses correct P.P.E. per JHA’s and job description.
  • Perform all other duties assigned.
