About The Position

Great opportunity to join our Maintenance Dept. Tool Crib. Duties include: Issue tools, parts, equipment and supplies. Maintain records via computerized inventory and paper records. Receive tools, parts, equipment and supplies from vendors verifying requisition information and distributing or storing items and updating inventory. Utilize computerized systems to maintain accurate records and create bar code labels. Review the Maintenance Work Schedule Daily and stage components for repairs. Operate a forklift to facilitate parts movements. Participate in 5S, inventory reduction, and other departmental improvement efforts as requested. Maintain and confirm inventories using paper inventory procedures identifying items from blueprints, identification numbers, specifications, computer printouts or verbal descriptions. Perform minor repair work on items. Clean materials and items for reuse. Act as dispatcher for Maintenance personnel, taking trouble calls and notifying the appropriate Maintenance personnel to resolve. Enter and maintain work order data in Fiix system, with concentration on accurate work order priority, schedule entry, and downtime tracking. Perform a variety of Fiix & Infor system entries.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of windows operating system required.
  • Must be detail oriented with excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
  • Inventory experience in an industrial maintenance environment preferred.
  • Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to operate a forklift.
  • Course work in business/accounting may be helpful.
  • Must be willing to gain proficiency in multiple software platforms (e.g. Excel, Word, Teams, Fiix, Infor, Fastenal systems, Itellichief).
  • Must be willing to work as a team, facilitating efficient maintenance workflow.
  • Willing to try new workflow management processes, learn from them, and try again.

Nice To Haves

  • Inventory experience in an industrial maintenance environment preferred.
  • Course work in business/accounting may be helpful.
