Title/Accounting Clerk We are a fast-paced dealership with an established clientele and we are looking for an experienced Title/Accounting Clerk to join our Accounting team. The ideal candidate has at least one year of office or accounting experience, preferably in the automotive industry. This position requires a high attention to detail to ensure that all work completed is compliant with all legal requirements and adheres to all McCurley company policies.
Requirements
- Knowledge of Accounting is required, must be willing to take and pass our accounting basics evaluation
- Good interpersonal, email and verbal communication skills
- Excellent computer skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc
- Self-motivated; able to effectively prioritize tasks and organize schedule
- Ability to function under pressure, involving activities that are time-sensitive in nature
Nice To Haves
- Previous dealership Billing/Title experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Process all paperwork related to new, used, and wholesale vehicle sales transactions. These items include, but not limited to: Title and Licensing paperwork Loan documents Lien Payoffs F&I product contracts and cancellations Dealer trade documents
- Record the acquisition of new and used vehicle inventory into the accounting software
- Reconcile assigned accounts and balance sheet schedules regularly
- Post manual journal entries, prepare checks, and provide administrative support to management
- Prepare weekly/monthly reports for management
- Assist with the monthly close of the dealership’s financial statements
