About The Position

Come join a growing financial technology company that’s leading the marketplace in both the marketing and servicing of credit cards! Continental Finance Company specializes in credit card options for those consumers with less than perfect credit. We are seeking a Third Party Risk Management Analyst Intern to support our Compliance team. Continental Finance Company interns get real-life exposure to the daily duties of the department. They spend the summer as a valued member of their respective team, learning business skills and assisting with a variety of projects that have an impact on the business operations. An additional focus of the program will be to complete a final project that will be an overview of activities, tasks and experiences throughout the 10-week program.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in and working towards an undergraduate degree. Open to all majors, Business, Finance, Risk Management, English, Accounting or Legal preferred
  • Available to work 40 hours/week (hybrid) for 10-week program: June 2nd- August 6th, 2026
  • Currently enrolled in 4-year accredited university
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong oral, written and team communication skills.
  • Demonstrated skills in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong customer service aptitude
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Review existing third-party risk management policies, procedures, and documentation related to vendor onboarding, assessment, and ongoing monitoring
  • Conduct a structured inventory of third-party vendors by partnering with cross-functional teams, including Compliance, IT, Legal, Accounting, Data Science, Credit Risk, Operations, and Marketing
  • Analyze vendor risk profiles, including data access, cybersecurity controls and regulatory compliance
  • Review vendor due diligence materials to identify risk themes, gaps, and improvement opportunities
  • Benchmark current third-party risk management practices and regulatory expectations for fintech and credit card issuers
  • Identify high-risk or duplicative vendor relationships and develop recommendations to strengthen oversight, monitoring, and cost efficiency
  • Prepare and present findings and recommendations to Compliance Leadership and executive stakeholders
