Step into a day on our lens line You arrive on time, gear up, and rotate through precision stations that turn a blank lens into a finished, prescription-ready product. You’ll clip lenses into baskets, prep and run coating equipment, verify optical quality at every handoff, and keep machines spotless so the next cycle runs flawlessly. It’s hands-on, detail-rich work in a tech-enabled environment—ideal for someone who loves process, rhythm, and craftsmanship.

Requirements

  • Comfort working in a fast-paced production team; clear communication in English (read, write, comprehend simple instructions and short correspondence).
  • Basic math (add/subtract, decimals) and ability to compare number/letter sequences accurately.
  • Strong visual acuity: close, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
  • Fine motor skills: coordinated hand/finger use, grasping, transferring small items, bilateral reach, and precise manipulation.
  • Organizational skills: plan, prioritize, interpret goals and procedures, multi-task, and exercise good judgment.
  • Stamina to stand in one place for 10–12 hours and perform repetitive motions.
  • Reliable, on-time attendance with availability for overtime as needed; follow established standards and all company and regulatory policies.

  • Prior experience or formal training in optical or manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

  • Coating Clip and secure lenses into baskets to begin the coating sequence.
  • Set up, load/unload sectors, and operate coating systems to apply thin-film layers correctly.
  • Inspect lenses before and immediately after coating to confirm cosmetic and optical accuracy per the work ticket.
  • Disassemble, clean, and sandblast components daily to maintain equipment performance.
  • Finishing Drill and mount lenses for precise alignment and fit; use a bevel wheel to remove sharp edges as needed.
  • Operate edging machines to size and shape lenses for their frames.
  • Perform finish layout: mark center/alignment and attach the chuck/block.
  • Tint lenses to exact specifications.
  • Surfacing Prepare lenses for surfacing (de-box, tape exposed surfaces, tray up).
  • Run taping equipment to protect lens fronts.
  • Block lenses accurately for all surfacing steps.
  • Operate the generator to cut lenses to the prescribed power.
  • Fine and polish lenses to final clarity.
  • Apply spin coat and conduct cosmetic inspections.
  • Hand wash and dry lenses; de-block and remove protective tape.
