About The Position

The Thin Film Operator (Assembler) will perform kitting and inventory control of substrates and run other Thin Film processes. The role includes the use of hand tools, automated pick-and-places, microscopes, and machines. You must be able to work a day shift position (5:00 am to 1:30 pm).

Requirements

  • Ability to use small hand-tools such as tweezers and microscope
  • Basic computer skills for time charging
  • This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a “US Person” under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license)

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
  • Must be detail-oriented and able to perform basic calculations.
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment and participate in problem-solving when process and quality issues come up.

Responsibilities

  • Perform kitting of substrates and small parts onto gel packs using tweezers and vacuum wands.
  • Load and unload substrates from an automated pick-and-place machine.
  • Physically count substrates and confirm quantities are accurate.
  • Visually inspect kitted substrates and confirm the correct parts have been kitted. Inspection may be performed under a microscope.
  • Clean, stage, and organize substrates, gel packs, and waffle packs on staging shelves.
  • Understand and follow written and verbal work instructions.
  • Fill out logs and operation sheets.
  • Run other Thin Film processes and machines as requested by the supervisor.
