About The Position

Thermoforming Press Technician — Wheel Manufacturing Company Overview Arbco Wheels, a division of Colson Group Retail, supplies surface protection and casters and wheels to retail stores across North America, Europe, and Australia. We deliver reliable, high-quality products and maintain a strong foothold in a competitive retail market. Schedule & Location Location: Export, PA Workweek: Four days, Monday–Thursday, 10 hours per day Shift: 2nd shift, 4:00 pm–2:00 am Sign-On Bonus $1,000 total paid in installments: 90 days = $250, 180 days = $250, 1 year = $500. Day in the Life You arrive just before 4 pm, review the production schedule, and start your safety preflight. With your area organized to 5S standards, you move to the press line—running 3–5 presses per press set . Throughout the shift, you perform short-interval quality checks, file any raised mold lines, and sort molded wheels by part number. You record both output and scrap in the ERP system, visually inspect for defects and place any nonconforming parts in the proper containers. Before 2 am, you complete end-of-shift requirements and reset the area for the next team. Role Summary Produce finished wheel products from raw materials using precise measurements and disciplined process control.

Requirements

  • Ability to stand or walk for 10 hours per shift (four shifts per week).
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Basic reading and comprehension.
  • Basic computer skills; knowledge of Epicor is preferred but not required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

  • Read and follow the production schedule.
  • Meet standardized performance levels.
  • Operate presses and run 3–5 presses per press set.
  • Record production and scrap quantities in the ERP database.
  • Perform short-interval quality control checks as required.
  • Visually inspect wheels for defects and segregate defects into proper containers.
  • File raised mold lines as necessary.
  • Separate molded wheels by part number into proper containers.
  • Perform safety and end-of-shift requirements following 5S practices.
  • Abide by all established organizational policies, rules, and regulations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
