Vogel is seeking a dedicated Therapy Coordination Specialist to play a critical role in supporting our students and families. In this vital role, you will coordinate developmental referrals to our offsite therapy partners, manage Child Find assessments in collaboration with Dallas ISD, and provide a high level of administrative support to the mental health team. The salary range for this position is $26.92 - 31.25 per hour What We Do Vogel is a well-established nonprofit organization located in Dallas with a history spanning over 36 years. Our core mission is centered around providing exceptional care and early childhood education for young children from homeless and domestic abuse shelters, all within our NAEYC accredited child care facility. Our innovative approach works to support both children and their parents through a two-generation strategy, offering resources that set families on a path toward a brighter future. What You'll Do Scope of Responsibility: Plays a critical role in supporting students and families by coordinating developmental referrals. Manages Child Find assessments in collaboration with Dallas ISD. Provides high-level administrative support to the mental health team. Acts as a specialized coordinator requiring knowledge of special education processes and terminology.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required with some college.
  • Familiarity with special education processes and terminology.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with families, school districts, therapists, and internal teams.
  • Proficiency in scheduling, documentation, and data tracking.
  • Comfort providing both administrative support and program coordination.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Child Development, Health Sciences, Public Health, or a related field.
  • Experience with Dallas ISD special education referrals or Child Find procedures.
  • Background in education, behavior analysis, counseling, or a related field.
  • Experience working in a trauma-informed facility with diverse families and children with behavioral challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Developmental Referral Coordination Manage and coordinate developmental referrals with external therapy partners, ensuring timely communication, documentation, and follow-through.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with Dallas ISD to initiate, track, and support Child Find assessments and related developmental or behavioral referrals.
  • Collaborate with the Health and Inclusion Specialist to ensure families receive appropriate and timely medical referrals necessary for the processing and initiation of developmental therapy services.
  • Maintain accurate records of all referrals and assessments, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and privacy standards.
  • Administrative & Operational Support Schedule appointments, send reminders (calls/texts/emails), and manage calendars for the mental health team.
  • Upload and organize insurance documents and necessary forms for therapy partners or internal records.
  • Respond to inquiries (phone and in-person), provide updates to families and staff, and assist with documentation tasks as needed.
  • Team & Frontline Support Provide administrative and frontline support to the mental health team, including data entry, reporting, and light project coordination.
  • Provide daily front desk support by greeting clients and managing basic reception duties during lunch coverage.
  • Serve as primary coverage whenever the front desk receptionist is out due to illness, vacation, or other absences.
  • Assist with special projects as assigned.
