About The Position

Warfel Construction is currently hiring a Coordination Specialist to join our team in the East Petersburg office . As an innovative member of the Coordination team, you will need to be knowledgeable about the latest approaches to delivering technology-based field services and able to drive the implementation of these technologies on construction projects. This is a role where attention to detail is essential, as the deliverables are leveraged by all Warfel Construction teams and/or clients. Most of the work will be performed within an office environment but requires daily/weekly interaction with field teams either in person or remotely. The candidate who sees construction through a technology lens and how it applies within a construction team environment will thrive in this position.

Requirements

Minimum of an Associated Applied Science in Construction Management, Building Science Engineering, Architectural, or Engineering related fields.
A minimum of two years’ experience as an innovative technologist, in the fields of 3D Modeling and Coordination relating to the architectural, civil, or construction industry is desired.
Expertise with construction coordination processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

Works within the parameters of Warfel’s defined BIM Execution Plans, Standard Operating Procedures, BIM Standards and BIM workflow definitions.
Adapt design-intent models for virtual coordination purposes as necessary, including modifying, supplementing, and up - keep as needed to meet project requirements.
Collaborate with MEP Coordinators and Quality Engineers to validate system types and follow through with trade-partners on coordination issue resolutions.
Perform field visits to conduct verification, validation and surveys of existing conditions utilizing proper documentation methods and reporting tools such as scanning and field observation forms.
Evaluate and offer insight to additional content libraries, templates, SOPs and cloud-based software.
Identify design, constructability and coordination challenges, and propose visual detailed solutions.
Collaborate with other project team members on how to access coordination content through distribution, shared access, or remote collaboration.
Follow BIM/VDC - QA/QC procedures and assist project teams with understanding the specified coordination plans and workflows.
Maintain Coordination project schedules while also collaborating with trade partners to ensure compliance with overall project schedules.
Evaluate new techniques and provide feedback on performance enhancements.
Be able to work under pressure.
Ensure that Coordination exceeds expectations.
Provide a high level of communication and foster teamwork to assemble a work environment for different individuals representing multiple disciplines to achieve optimum BIM performance.
Ability to effectively communicate project coordination vision to all project stakeholders, including clients, executives, project managers and project staff members.
Coordinate multiple projects and directives within given similar timeframes.
Foster relationship building with industry professionals and organizations, to build on knowledge and trends impacting the market sector.
Deliver Coordination productivity to meet project financial and schedule commitments.
