About The Position

Adapt Integrated Health Care is looking for a qualified Forensic Therapist to join their team! The Forensics Therapist is responsible for oversight of a unique forensic area within Adapt Integrated Health Care, while supporting a Trauma Informed Care environment. With the high prevalence of trauma among individuals receiving mental health services, it is required that the Forensics Therapist understand the effects of trauma on health, coping, and other aspects of the lives of those we serve. This includes clinical model development and implementation, business development and growth, establishing and maintaining good stakeholder and community relationships, providing staff oversight of monitoring and supervision to clients who are under the jurisdiction of the Psychiatric Security Review Board (PSRB), Jail Diversion and 370 Aid and Assist Forensics programs. QMHP's responsibilities are to facilitate access for mental health treatment at Adapt; provide therapeutic interventions including informed consent, advocacy, and integrated care; assist with access to community resources; facilitate development and retention of natural and community supports; provide appropriate individual, group, and community psychoeducation; actively work to reduce stigma, barriers, and to build a community foundation for success. QMHPs adhere to the OAR's; agency standards and practices; and follow their board in regard to ethical and standards of practice.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling Psychology, plus experience in a mental health setting is preferred. Licensed Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or Marriage or Family Counseling preferred.
  • Current MHACBO eligibility/registration as a QMHP or current Oregon Licensing Board Associate Registration
  • Must be 21+ and possess a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Provides treatment services through assessments and evaluations, initial assessments of walk-in clients, and scheduled appointments, case management, individual and group treatment which promotes recovery, resiliency, wellness, independence, and safety for individuals receiving addictions and mental health treatment services and supports through prescription of outpatient treatment services that are client-centered, trauma-informed, evidenced-based best-practices whenever possible. The QMHP will collaborate with clientele and in consultation with team; complete safety and recovery plans for those individuals that are priority one, those at risk, or for those having a history that indicates a safety and recovery plan would be of benefit. Clientele is both adult and youth and family.
  • Maintains and completes required records, reports, and documentation as required by departmental policy and state law; provides documentation and written communications.
  • Responsibilities could include some hours outside of normal operation hours
  • Participates in professional development through individual and group supervision, unit and agency staff meetings, workshops and essential learning tutorials; develops, modifies, and or obtains training programs and materials in consultation with program manager; promotes peer professional development by sharing training materials and/or training others in successful interventions.
  • Will be required to achieve productivity standards as set forth and outlined by your manager.
  • Maintain compliance with regard to state, federal and Adapt guidelines including but not limited to accurate and timely documentation.
  • Performs unique duties, as assigned by Program Manager to meet agency needs.
  • Emergency Response: This employee has been identified as a staff member expected to report for duty following activation of a public health emergency response plan.
