Theatre and Dance (Theatre), Full-Time Lecturer, Faculty
About The Position

The Department of Theatre and Dance at Middle Tennessee State University invites applicants for a full-time, temporary (non-tenurable) faculty position (#107540) in theatre at the rank of lecturer. This is a one-year temporary appointment. The contract may be renewed annually based on available funding, demonstrated need, and satisfactory performance as assessed by annual evaluations. The appointment start date is August 1, 2026.
Requirements
- An MFA or a master's degree in theatre or musical theatre is required by the appointment date
Nice To Haves
- Expressive Actor Certification
- Experience mentoring students through theatre conference trips (such as the American College Theatre Festival)
Responsibilities
- Teach voice for the actor
- Teach introduction to theatre
- Teach acting for non-majors
