About The Position
The Theater Operations Summer Internship provides hands-on experience in managing large-format cinema and immersive entertainment venues within a high-volume hospitality environment. Interns will gain exposure to daily theater operations, guest experience leadership, technical coordination, show scheduling, and revenue oversight while supporting the operation of Moody Gardens’ world-class theaters. This internship is designed for students interested in: Entertainment Management Film & Media Studies Technical Theater / Production Hospitality & Tourism Management Event Operations
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated (within the past 12 months) from an accredited college or university
- Pursuing a degree in Hospitality Management, Entertainment Management, Film & Media Studies, Theater Production, Business Administration, Communications, or related field
- Minimum 3.0 GPA preferred
- Basic understanding of theater, film, or live event operations preferred
- Comfort working with technology and audiovisual equipment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to learn ticketing and point-of-sale systems
- Strong attention to detail in operational environments
