About The Position

The Test Operator at Micross Components is responsible for testing semiconductor devices using Automated Test Equipment (ATE) in accordance with established test methods and procedures. This role involves working with various documentation such as shop travelers, work orders, specifications, and schematics. Key duties include verifying incoming paperwork, ensuring calibration of test systems and equipment, correctly setting up ATE and bench equipment, loading test programs, and testing production devices at specified temperatures. The operator must also complete all necessary test documentation, troubleshoot test setups, ensure proper environmental controls during temperature testing, and may need to verify setups with a senior operator. Additionally, the role requires compliance with safety, quality, and ITAR policies, active participation in team efforts and meetings, and the protection of confidential information.

Responsibilities

  • Work from shop travelers, work orders, specifications, procedures, instructions, schematics, diagrams, and other documentation
  • Verify incoming paperwork is correct and complete before beginning work
  • Verify calibration status of all test systems / equipment to be used
  • Verify ATE and / or bench equipment is setup correctly, the correct test program has been loaded and all menu options are correct
  • Test production devices at all specified temperatures per all pertinent specifications and procedures
  • Complete all necessary test documentation and verify outgoing paperwork / data is correct and complete before moving work forward: shop traveler, test worksheets, test results forms, serial number list, etc.
  • Employ standard troubleshooting protocols on test setups
  • Verify test setup is complete and correct: all connections are accurate, correct test program is loaded and all menu options are correct, AEL and setup calibrations have been run, and gold standard devices have been tested and are passing
  • Verify correct purge is in place when testing at temperatures and there are no moisture issues with the test fixture when testing at cold
  • Verify product on alternate test setup if possible
  • Have another, more senior test operator verify the test setup
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures
  • Comply with all quality and ITAR policies, practices and procedures
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
  • Participate in meetings / work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems, improve training, and be informed of new developments, requirements, and policies
  • Protect confidential information by not sharing with, disclosing to, or using for the benefit of 3rd parties
  • Perform other duties as assigned
