Job Summary To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, this Summer, we’re looking to add a Test Engineering Intern located in our Austin, TX site. Reporting to the Test Engineering Manager, the student will assist with daily engineering tasks while learning, collaborating and working alongside Engineers and cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • Senior or Junior pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Systems or related field from an accredited university
  • Interest in working in a manufacturing environment where products are manufactured at large scale
  • Strong Linux CLI proficiency, hardware integration expertise, and advanced troubleshooting skills across L6, and L10, test stages.
  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Highly collaborative, creative and excellent communication skills
  • Available to start on May 26th and work 40 hours/week (in-person) for 10-12 week Summer assignment
  • Currently enrolled in 4-year accredited university
  • 3.0 minimum GPA

Responsibilities

  • Work with fellow Test Engineers to bring up Highly complex AI GPU's.
  • Perform hands-on debugging, validation, and system-level failure analysis of next-generation server and rack systems within a high-mix, high-ambiguity manufacturing environment
  • Product debug and characterization to determine product performance
  • Integrate and test liquid cooling systems within the server racks, verifying proper installation and function of pumps, cold plates, radiators/chillers, tubing, and fittings
  • Perform detailed failure analysis on server hardware and cooling subsystems to identify root causes of test failures or performance issues
  • Work closely with diagnostic technicians on the production floor to troubleshoot down to the component level when burn-in or functional tests flag errors, and drive rapid resolution of hardware, firmware, or configuration problems
  • Apply strong problem-solving techniques and use diagnostic tools (logs, Linux command-line utilities, etc.) to isolate issues in both electronic components and the liquid cooling loop
  • Work with cross functional teams to address corrective actions
  • Attends team meetings as requested
  • Uses tools to conduct tests on electronic products and systems or software.
  • Support floor test technicians and test operators on test hardware and/or software
  • Resolves test yield problems by performing analysis of root causes, developing and coordinating corrective action measures and monitoring improvements.
