The Test Engineer is responsible for developing equipment to ensure product quality and validate design goals. This role requires a fundamental understanding of cold plate function to develop test systems, and involves designing, developing, and maintaining test procedures, tester hardware, and software for production.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's of Science in Engineering
  • 8 years of related experience preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Test Engineering or related
  • Detailed knowledge and use of key development tools and design standards: 3D CAD, Finite Element Analysis, Tolerances, Manufacturing Principles, Interference Checks
  • Broad knowledge developing high complexity projects that have required one of more of Mechanical Engineering Design specializations or competencies: Tolerance Analysis, DFM, Serviceability
  • Leads ME projects with multiple engineers assigned
  • Leads cross-functional and ME design reviews
  • Detailed knowledge (with moderate complexity) of Industry or specific sector, regulatory and safety standards
  • Influence others and share best practices
  • Effectively communicate with good understanding of English
  • Work as part of a global team
  • Assess a project and articulating risk while developing project milestones
  • Develop projects in a stage-gate process (PLCQ)
  • Mentor less experienced engineers

Nice To Haves

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience is preferred
  • Previous test experience in a manufacturing or R & D environment is preferred
  • Knowledge with metrology of fluid systems is a plus
  • Experience with Linux or other scripting languages preferred

Responsibilities

  • Review designs for testability requirements
  • Support manufacturing with failure analysis, tester debugging, reduction of intermittent failures and downtime of test equipment
  • Prepare recommendations for testing and documentation of procedures to be used from the product design phase through to initial production
  • Generate reports and analysis of test data, prepares documentation and recommendations
  • Review test equipment designs, data and RMA issues with customers regularly
  • Design, and direct engineering and technical personnel in fabrication of testing and test control apparatus and equipment
  • Analyze and interpret test data and prepares technical reports for use by test engineering and management personnel
  • Develop or use computer software and hardware to conduct tests on machinery and equipment
  • Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy
