Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems is seeking an Early Career Test Engineer. In this role, you will contribute to the development of full-stack web and software applications that support real-world mission systems and internal tools. You will be responsible for assisting in designing front-end user interfaces, building back-end APIs and services, and integrating data sources. You may also participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging tasks to ensure high-quality deliverables. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML/CSS, React.js or Angular, and backend technologies such as Node.js, Python, or Java. Familiarity with Git, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and RESTful API design is also beneficial. Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or pursuing a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical discipline from an accredited college/university.
  • Basic understanding of analog and digital circuit design principles.
  • Familiarity with electronic lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers.
  • Experience with or exposure to PCB design tools (e.g., Altium Designer, OrCAD, Eagle, or similar).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with soldering, breadboarding, and hands-on prototyping of electronic circuits.
  • Familiarity with embedded systems and microcontroller programming (e.g., Arduino, STM32, or similar).
  • Understanding of signal integrity, power distribution, and EMI/EMC considerations in circuit design.
  • Experience with SPICE simulation tools (e.g., LTspice, PSpice).
  • Exposure to FPGA design and HDL languages (e.g., VHDL, Verilog).
  • Experience with automated test systems or scripting languages (e.g., Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW).
  • Familiarity with hardware troubleshooting techniques and root cause analysis.
  • Strong interest in defense, aerospace, or mission-critical systems.
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics, datasheets, and technical documentation.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
