About The Position

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Agricultural, Electrical Engineering, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Experience with data acquisition and analysis software such as LabVIEW or MATLAB.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States (sponsorship is not available).

Nice To Haves

  • Certified LabVIEW Architect (CLA) or Certified LabVIEW Developer (CLD) with ability to achieve CLA within 6-12 months of hire.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL (e.g., MS SQL).
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Ability to apply mathematics and physical sciences to real-world applications.
  • Hands-on mechanical experience and understanding of control theory, measurement theory, and material fabrication techniques.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects of varying complexity.
  • Strong technical communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain data collection applications interfacing with National Instruments data acquisition systems (e.g., LabVIEW, DAQmx).
  • Develop software tools and process automation for laboratory test data analysis, reporting, and management.
  • Support and enhance mission-critical programs developed in-house and utilized globally.
  • Maintain and optimize existing LabVIEW codebases and database schemas.
  • Create and improve processes for effective use of internally developed software tools.
  • Mentor engineers in coding practices to strengthen team programming proficiency.
  • Develop expertise in control valve and instrument test methods.
  • Provide technical input for new product concepts, including design reviews and testing.
  • Develop and execute test plans in collaboration with internal teams and external customers.
  • Design, construct, and operate sophisticated test equipment and automated systems.
  • Analyze experimental data and prepare detailed engineering reports with recommendations.
  • Implement efficiency and continuous improvement projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Simulation, Marketing, Design, Manufacturing, Sales, and Procurement.
