About The Position

Auburn Advancement is excited to begin the search for a Donor Relations Stewardship Coordinator. The individual in this position will represent Auburn University and will provide direct support in the Donor Relations Department of Auburn Advancement. Temporary Employment Services (TES), a unit of the Auburn University Department of Human Resources, is an in-house support center established to meet the temporary employment needs of the university. TES provides qualified and dedicated temporary employees in a wide variety of occupations to meet the staffing needs throughout the campus. Temporary employees are hired for a variety of reasons with the most common being: Assistance in the place of a regular employee who is absent for a specified period of time Additional assistance during periods of abnormal or peak workloads Assistance with special projects Seasonal work Emergencies If you are looking for an employment opportunity, TES is a great way to showcase your professional skills and assist Auburn University while gaining valuable work experience within higher education. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution plus 1 year of work experience in public relations work and general office operations OR Master's degree
  • Knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of public relations work is required.
  • Candidates should have work experience that required them to exercise independent judgment and discretion to deal with routine to moderately complex administrative matters.
  • Candidates should possess the ability to deal creatively, confidently and professionally with a wide variety of individual donors; and have the ability to take initiative, work independently and manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent organizational skills, interpersonal skills, written communication skills, intermediate/advanced computer skills in Excel, Word and Outlook.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education, Business, Communications, Public Relations, or related field

Responsibilities

  • preparing acknowledgement letters for the Senior Vice President of Advancement and the President of the university (25%)
  • preparing tribute notifications for gifts made in honor or in memory of an individual (25%)
  • assisting with special impact reporting (20%)
  • maintaining donor records with a high level of confidentiality
  • assisting with planning and executing recognition and stewardship records, materials and events (10%)
  • monitors budget and prepares vouchers and statements for reconciliation (10%)
  • participating in other special projects, which may include gift agreement related projects, donor societies, marketing functions or document templates for the unit and partner units (10%)
