Central Transport is a leading and technologically advanced Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) carrier with an expanding network of terminals across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Requirements

  • Must have strong leadership skills including the ability to hire, coach, counsel, train, and mentor employees.
  • Desire to surround customer with excellence in service.
  • High aptitude for technology.
  • The ability to multi-task while being detail oriented.
  • Excellent written, listening and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to work 50 hours/week average.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior LTL management experience is strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee dock operations at the terminal, including the process of loading & unloading freight, managing forklift traffic, and overseeing proper picking/sortation of palletized freight.
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, and retain terminal staff.
  • Provide leadership and accountability to a team of drivers and dock workers.
  • Monitor dock production, ensuring facility Key Performance Indicator goals are met and/or exceeded.
  • Maintain a safe work environment compliant with state and federal DOT/OSHA standards.
  • Ensure company operational model compliance.
  • Support a culture of excellence in quality of product to internal and external customers.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts as business levels increase.
