This position has an expected start date in January 2026.
Requirements
- MBA or earned Master's degree in Accounting or a closely related field
- Experience using MS Excel, Quickbooks, and/or similar accounting software packages on a regular basis
- College-level teaching experience and/or work experience in the field of Accounting
- An appreciation for diversity of all types and how diversity impacts learning and instruction
Nice To Haves
- Both college-level teaching experience and work experience in the field of Accounting
- Current CPA license
- Experience teaching community college students
- An understanding and appreciation of the role of the community college in higher education
- Demonstrated competencies in a variety of teaching methodologies and/or pedagogical approaches that reach a broad range of learners
- The ability to teach a variety of courses in our Accounting degree program
- Experience in using instructional technology in the classroom, online adaptations, and a willingness to adopt new and emerging technologies
- Demonstrated leadership abilities or experience to potentially become the Chairperson of the Accounting Programs
Responsibilities
- Teaching undergraduate classes in Accounting
- Preparation and management of classroom experiences and assessments to develop successful learning outcomes
- Assisting students in achieving academic success
- Participation in college activities, including membership on shared governance committees.
