About The Position

Responsible for writing copy for new pages for the College's website, crafting web marketing language in AP Style for a broad range of topics. Varies Base Pay: $25.00. Offer amount based on College's Salary Schedule guidelines.

Requirements

• Associate degree
• Two years of related experience
• Knowledge of: Modern Campus OmniUpdate or similar Web Content Management software
• Adobe Creative Suite or similar applications
• Hypertext Markup Language (HTML)
• Microsoft Office Professional or similar application
• Skilled in: Website design and media production
• Writing in a positive manner to reflect favorably upon the organization
• Attention to detail while maintaining effective time and task management
• Delivering a high level of customer service
• Ability to: Interact in a positive manner with diverse populations and varying education levels of students, faculty, staff, and the public
• Effectively communicate verbally and in writing on a regular basis with internal and external customers, build relationships, manage customer expectations, and take responsibility for a high level of service
• Organize and prioritize multiple, competing priorities to maximize personal and team effectiveness

Responsibilities

• Develops innovative written content and maintains design and layout of website to support the College’s image, identity, and brands.
• Creates stories to engage audiences and increase market penetration.
• Collaborates with department and college representatives to create and produce engaging storytelling to market the College and program offerings on websites.
• Reviews and edits content to conform with the College’s branding and editorial standards.
• Examines websites to ensure comprehensive information is accurate and easily available to current and prospective students, the public, faculty, and staff.
• Assists with the creation of departmental overview pages
• Proofreads pages created by other writers
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
