About The Position

Akerman is seeking an experienced Accounting professional to join our Financial Services team in Orlando, FL on a temporary, six‑month basis to support the Financial Services Team by performing timely and accurate reconciliations of law firm trust bank accounts. Akerman has adopted a hybrid work environment.

Requirements

• 3+ years of prior experience performing bank account reconciliations required; law firm or trust accounting experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly trust bank account reconciliations.
• Research and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Encouraged to identify opportunities to streamline reconciliation processes and adopt new efficiencies.
• Support documentation of improved procedures and controls.
