Cornell Cooperative Extension of Niagara County has an opening for Temporary Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Nutrition Education and Obesity Prevention (SNAP-Ed) Nutritionist. The Nutritionist will primarily be responsible for delivery of established SNAP public education programming to improve healthy food and lifestyle choices among families and individuals encompassing all age groups throughout the Western SNAP Region (Erie, Niagara, Genesee, Wyoming, and Orleans Counties). This position will also assist with marketing efforts for SNAP-Ed programming in collaboration with other nutritionists in the SNAP region. This is a temporary 1.0 FTE grant-funded position expected to end August 2026. Funding for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) program is through the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and administered by the Federal Food and Nutrition Services (FNS). Travel is required within the region.
