About The Position

Temporary backfill position during the Omaha Public Schools ERP Project, anticipated through July 2028.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED Required.
  • 3-5 years of payroll processing experience required.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the team.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Exceptional math skills.
  • High Proficiency in MS Excel and Word.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to keep information confidential.
  • Organizing, setting priorities, multitasking, and working effectively under critical deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s Degree in Business, Accounting, or related field, preferred.
  • PeopleSoft HCM payroll experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and update punch time exceptions as needed.
  • Enter, review, and validate extra pay data entry in the payroll system for Certified employees on the customized PeopleSoft page and the Additional Pay page.
  • Review and validate the data entry of Co-Curricular pay.
  • Monitor employees on leave of absence as needed.
  • Organize payroll processing documents for record retention or review.
  • Answer employee phone calls and employee inquiries as needed, and problem-solve.
  • Performs other related tasks as assigned by supervisor and other central office administrators as designated by the Superintendent.
