The Statler Hotel, located on Cornell University's campus, serves as the practical hotel operations laboratory for the Peter and Stephanie Nolan School of Hotel Administration. The hotel has over 150 rooms and state-of-the-art conference facilities, hosting numerous important events and meetings. The Statler Hotel is committed to excellence in service and hospitality education, making it a cornerstone of Cornell's hospitality program. The line cook position is responsible for executing daily prep tasks, including cutting ingredients, setting up the production line, and preparing food with accuracy and speed. They ensure food safety by monitoring and recording temperatures and maintain cleanliness of the work area. Additionally, they provide functional guidance and training for student cooks while collaborating with front-of-house staff to ensure a quality customer experience. The role requires maintaining professionalism, supporting teammates, and adhering to operating standards during shift closures.
