The Statler Hotel, located on Cornell University's campus, serves as the practical hotel operations laboratory for the Nolan School of Hotel Administration, providing students with hands-on experience. It is a 4-diamond hotel with over 150 rooms and conference facilities, committed to excellence in service and hospitality education. As part of the Statler Hotel's Culinary Team, the Temporary Banquet Cook, also referred to as the Banquet Pantry and Buffet Attendant, is responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality buffet offerings while maintaining the highest standards of service for guests. This role involves supporting banquet events, working action stations, and collaborating with front-of-house teams to ensure a seamless guest experience. The Attendant is also tasked with mentoring student cooks and upholding professionalism, alongside adhering to food safety standards and operational efficiency.
