The BCC PostBacc Program, supports laboratory technicians in preparing for PhD studies through the development of research and professional skills essential for competitive graduate school applications. The program also serves as a pipeline for recruiting highly trained candidates into the University of Louisville’s PhD programs. This is a temporary position with an expected start date of 3/23/2026 through 3/22/2028. The individual will be responsible for conducting experiments investigating the implementation and characterization of new cancer vaccine strategies in animal models. This will entail: (1) Assessing alterations in immune cell markers in response to different anti-cancer vaccine regimens; (2) Identifying the functional changes in different immune cells in response to different vaccine treatments; and (3) Establishing various tumor models and assess solid tumor growth in response to various treatment regimens. The individual will also be responsible for general maintenance of the laboratory and laboratory equipment.
