About The Position

Temporary Employee - Non-Exempt The Fish Facility for the Cell and Developmental Biology department is actively seeking a temporary lab technician to assist with the daily operations of the facility. Some of these responsibilities include: Feeding baby fish, juveniles, and adult fish daily up to 3 times per day. Maintaining paramecia cultures for feeding baby fish Recording and tracking water temperatures, conductivity, pH, and nitrites/nitrates daily. Adjusting water drip rates and water outlet sieves as fish progress in development. Maintain biological and particle filtration systems. Siphon, organize, and clean tanks as needed. Maintain supplies and media containers. Other tasks assigned by PI and Fish Facility manager

Responsibilities

  • Feeding baby fish, juveniles, and adult fish daily up to 3 times per day.
