UT Southwestern is seeking a Temporary High School Intern to perform clerical or para-professional work under immediate supervision. Requirements

• Currently enrolled in high school.
• Minimum 14 years of age.
• Individuals ages 14-15 are subject to additional restrictions in accordance with UT Southwestern policy and applicable state and federal labor laws.
• Individuals ages 16 and older are not subject to additional age-based work restrictions.
• No prior experience.
• If assigned to work in a research laboratory, additional documentation signed by a parent or legal guardian.

Responsibilities

• Set up gel electrophoresis.
• Perform western analysis.
• Analyze data and format it for presentation.
• Performs a variety of duties to include, but not limited to, basic administrative and service related functions.
• Assists, receives training, and acquires working knowledge from various departments.
• May assist staff with day to day operations.
• May participate in basic to moderately complex projects as requested by supervisor.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
