About The Position
Auto-Owners Insurance is seeking a motivated individual to join their Grounds Maintenance team. This is a temporary position on the summer grounds crew at the Home Office main campus. The role involves general grounds work, operating landscaping equipment, irrigation work, maintenance of fleet vehicles, equipment maintenance, and shop maintenance. - Ability to work independently, remotely and with minimal supervision.
- Be flexible for necessary schedule changes.
- Experience with hand held tools.
Responsibilities
- General grounds work including mowing, trimming, pruning, mulching, watering, and litter removal.
- Operating equipment including zero turn mowers and other landscaping equipment.
- Irrigation work including fixing and adjusting sprinkler heads, digging and replacing pipe lines, investigating and solving watering issues.
- Maintenance of fleet vehicles including washing, detailing and transporting to maintenance appointments.
- Equipment maintenance including changing oil, sharpening blades, greasing as necessary.
- Shop maintenance including general cleaning, painting, parts acquisition.
