What You’ll Do As a Ground Maintenance / Equipment Operator, you’ll support site logistics, material coordination, and equipment operations at our Terre Haute facility. You’ll work closely with project leadership, contractors, and site teams to ensure materials are delivered, staged, and moved safely and efficiently across the project site. In this role, you will: Coordinate daily with the Project Manager to plan scheduled material deliveries and site logistics Identify and prepare storage locations for incoming materials to maintain site organization and accessibility Operate company-owned equipment to load, unload, and transport materials across the project site Inspect and maintain assigned equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation Participate in daily morning briefings with contractors and project staff Communicate site issues and propose practical solutions to maintain workflow and safety standards Receive, stage, and distribute materials across the job site Safely operate heavy equipment during loading, unloading, and relocation activities Operate a heavy-duty pickup truck and trailer to transport equipment and materials as needed Follow established schedules, site procedures, and supervisory direction Requirements What We’re Looking For We’re seeking a safety-focused equipment operator with strong field awareness and experience working in construction or industrial environments. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Minimum of five (5) years of experience operating heavy equipment in construction or industrial environments Demonstrated ability to safely operate forklifts, backhoes, trackhoes, and other material-handling equipment Strong situational awareness and ability to work safely on congested, multi-contractor job sites Strong communication and coordination skills Ability to work effectively with multiple crews and project teams Preferred Qualifications Formal training or certification in heavy equipment operation Experience supporting construction site logistics and material staging Experience working in large industrial project environments Your Work Schedule This is a full-time, field-based position working Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Requirements
