Here is a sample for some of what your workdays may look like: Participate in the development of safe operating procedures. Complete all North River Midstream training as required. Operate all plant systems for respective area in a safe, effective and efficient manner, meeting all regulatory requirements and focusing on continuous improvement of operating practices, plant reliability and production. Manage day to day operations activities of assigned plant area(s) including: Equipment preparation and lock out for maintenance Regular plant safety equipment inspections Operator equipment checks and process equipment readings Issue of work permits for the area(s) of responsibility Input of notifications for failed equipment within assigned area(s) Troubleshoot equipment and/or process problems. Environmental permit requirements, policies, and reporting procedures; spill control and clean up procedures. Communication of all process changes and concerns at the end of shift; completing the daily shift log. Application of safety practices, procedures; reporting all accidents, incidents and near misses. Working in a team environment within the Process Operations line of progression.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 or equivalent technical training
  • 4th Class Power Engineering Certification, valid in BC
  • Valid BC Class 5 drivers license

Nice To Haves

  • Gas Plant Operations (GPO) Certification
  • 1-3 Years’ experience as a shift operator in an oil/gas processing facility
  • Mechanical Aptitude
  • Strong focus on safety
  • Strong team player capable of working with minimal supervision
