About The Position

The primary purpose of the position is to provide strategic leadership and oversight for the Defense Civilian Training Corps ( DCTC ) program. The DCTC Project Director will ensure the program aligns with university objectives and defense training requirements. This role involves supervising the DCTC Project Coordinator, managing day-to-day operations, and collaborating with key stakeholders to maximize the program’s effectiveness and impact. Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Occasional evenings or weekends may be required.

Requirements

• A Master’s degree in Education, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
• Candidates must have at least five years of program management experience, ideally in higher education, defense, military training, or related fields.
• Proven leadership experience, along with strong strategic planning, communication, and problem-solving skills, is essential.
• Proficiency in project management and financial tools, as well as experience in grant writing, management, and budgeting, are required.
• The role also requires demonstrated experience in leading complex programs, supervisory experience, and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.

Nice To Haves

• Preferred candidates will possess a Master’s degree in Education, Business Administration, or a related field.
• They must have at least seven years of program management experience ( PMP preferred), ideally in higher education, defense, military training, or related fields.
• Preferred candidates will also meet all minimum qualifications for the position.
