About The Position

Temporary Position (expected to term February 27, 2026): Provide advanced data entry functions and other clerical operations of an office to support the UT Works' Lock and Key Module project. Responsibilities will include coding, inputting, and retrieving data from a computer.

Requirements

  • High school graduation or GED.
  • One year of experience in an office environment.
  • One year of above-average experience with data entry with a high degree of accuracy.
  • One years of intermediate experience using Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Excellent telephone and email etiquette.
  • Current Class "C" Texas Operator Driver's License required.
  • Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate Degree or higher in business administration or similar.
  • More than three years of broad-based experience in an office environment.
  • Two or more years of above-average experience with data entry with a high degree of accuracy.
  • More than two years of experience using Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Experience with direct customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, code, input and retrieve information using data entry functions. Enter data from Keying worksheets into Excel spreadsheets in preparation for transferring lock information into UT Works Key Module Program.
  • Evaluate and verify notes and reports for correctness and accuracy before entering information into Excel spreadsheets. Ensure accuracy and completeness of data that has been or is to be entered.
  • Maintain confidential records and files. Must understand that security and confidentiality of the information being dealt with is mandatory.
  • Confer with other department personnel as needed on data entry matters. Meet as a group and individually with other team members and supervisors.
  • Compose routine correspondence.
  • Represent Lock & Key Services on special projects.
  • Perform related duties as required.
  • May train new/less experienced employees.
  • Other related duties will be assigned, including working with other departments within the Campus Operations portfolio, and occasional overtime required, all to support organizational goals and objectives.
