Job Overview: Oversees all aspects of accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and strategic financial planning. Key Responsibilities: Financial Management Oversee the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions. Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, including the preparation of financial statements and reports. Financial Reporting Prepare and analyze financial statements, variance reports, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for executive management and stakeholders. Ensure compliance with GAAP and other applicable accounting principles and standards. Lead external audits including the preparation of financial reporting. Interpret complex financial transactions, including acquisitions, investments, divestitures, restructuring activities, etc. Financial Analysis and Strategy Conduct financial analysis to assess the financial health and performance of the company, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities. Provide insights and recommendations to executive management on key financial and operational issues. Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement strategic financial initiatives to drive growth and profitability. Leads annual financial audits. Budgeting and Forecasting Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to develop realistic and achievable budgets. Monitor budget performance, analyze variances, and identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement. Prepare financial forecasts and projections to support strategic decision-making and business planning. Team Leadership and Development Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure team members are equipped to excel in their roles and achieve departmental goals.
