About The Position

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field (communication, higher education administration, social work, education, psychology, etc.) Five (5) years of full-time experience leading higher education (or higher education adjacent) initiatives related to student development, student engagement, residential living, and leadership development. Demonstrated experience of supervising full-time professional staff Demonstrated positive impacts across diverse populations with culturally relevant program development and administration, staff training and supervision, leadership, decision-making, budget management, and ability to work effectively in a team relationship. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with proficiency in analytical and critical thinking with the ability to make decisions following appropriate consultation. Higher education experience related to working within student affairs units such as residence life, student activities, and campus events. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in a related field (communication, higher education administration, counseling, social work, education, psychology, etc.) 2-3 years supervising full time staff, volunteers, and student employees Experience related to managing several divergent tasks simultaneously, managing change, and advising student organizations. Experience with collegiate housing, residential life and effective supervisory experience is highly desirable.
