If youāre passionate about baking, hands-on creativity, and delivering exceptional customer service, apply today and become part of our bakery team! š„š„š„Æ Job Summary: This employee will work at the Broadway Market and / or Mazurekās Bakery at 777 Ridge Road in Lackawanna. The temporary staff will strive to provide excellent baked items and service in an efficient, professional manner. The staff will assist bakers and managers in product execution and display/packaging, using icing, glazes, fillings, and decorations to enhance item presentation, and process orders from customers. The staff will also greet customers, answer questions, clean workstations and equipment, and perform other duties to ensure that customer needs are satisfied and the bakery is well-stocked and operating smoothly. The staff should be efficient and friendly with a focus on food quality and customer satisfaction. You should be organized, decisive, attentive, and possess a strong understanding of customer service. Requirements
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret recipes and customer order forms.
- Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints, or understand when to consult management for assistance.
- Ability to appropriately interact with, monitor and assess, and transfer skills to employees.
- Knowledge of the tools, equipment, materials related to trades.
- Working knowledge of POS System
- Strong communication, time and resource management, and planning skills, and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail, especially when performing quality inspections on ingredients and products.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Willingness to work independently or with other team members to solve problems, plan schedules, fulfill orders, and create amazing baked goods.
- Flexibility to work around customer demands, including early morning, night, weekend and holiday availability.
- Ability to work in hot, hectic environment, stand, walk, bend, use hands and appliances, and lift heavy items for extended periods.
- HS diploma preferred
- 1 year minimum experience in career related field
Nice To Haves
- Food Handler Certification
- Valid NYS Driverās License preferred
Responsibilities
- Decorating and displaying finished products.
- Greeting customers, answering questions, making recommendations, accepting orders and payments, and providing exceptional customer service.
- Cleaning and restocking workstations and ensuring that all equipment is sanitized and prepared for the next shift.
- Keep product stocked for daily operations.
- Manage supplies and preparation; communicate to staff when order supplies is necessary
- Keep storage, preparation and working areas clean and orderly
- Work as a team member with other bakery, WAY and agency staff
- Contribute useable information concerning specialty area
- Cash out customers and make change correctly
- Demonstrate accountability for cash drawer, etc.
