About The Position

The Child Center of NY is seeking a resourceful, innovative, and highly organized Temp Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team. This individual will play a key role in shaping our hiring strategy by developing and executing multi-channel sourcing plans, building strong relationships with hiring managers, and delivering a thoughtful candidate experience from start to finish. The ideal candidate brings both curiosity and creativity to their work, demonstrates high personal accountability, and is skilled in managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This role requires excellent communication skills, a professional demeanor, and a commitment to operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or Associates Degree plus additional relevant experience
  • Minimum of 5+ years of recruiting experience, preferably in a high volume or fast paced environment.
  • Proven ability to source creatively and strategically across various platforms and networks.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly deliver detailed information effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (e.g., using formulas, pivot tables, data tracking).
  • Ability to travel for in-person events and meetings.
  • A self-starter with a strong sense of ownership, attention to detail, and a solution oriented mindset.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Dayforce or other enterprise-level ATS platforms strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a consistently positive and engaging candidate experience throughout every stage of the recruitment process.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve tailored sourcing strategies to attract top talent for a variety of roles.
  • Coordinate and manage full-cycle recruitment processes, including scheduling and following up on interviews, conducting screenings, and ensuring timely feedback to candidates and hiring teams.
  • Participate in job fairs, both virtually and in person, and attend other hiring-related events and meetings on a regular basis.
  • Deliver basic training sessions to hiring managers on recruitment systems, processes, and best practices.
  • Create and deliver engaging, visually clean presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Serve as a point of contact and subject matter expert on our Applicant Tracking System (ATS), with a strong preference for experience using Dayforce.
  • Maintain accurate recruitment data and reporting, with strong proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments to ensure a seamless recruitment process aligned with organizational goals.
  • Uphold a high standard of professionalism, confidentiality, and responsiveness in all candidate, hiring manager, and team interactions.
