The Teller I is responsible for completing financial transactions, as well as educating and referring customers to the Bank's products and services. This role involves handling various customer transactions such as accepting deposits, verifying cash, cashing checks, processing cash withdrawals, collection items, cash advances, transfer of funds requests, and stop payment orders. The Teller I also accepts payments for loans, balances and services ATMs as needed, completes Currency Transaction Reports, balances coin machines, orders cash and currency, processes customer check orders, and redeems savings bonds. A key aspect of the position is promoting and consistently cross-selling bank products at every opportunity, balancing the drawer daily, and potentially being responsible for bank opening/closing procedures. The Teller I is also expected to answer customer questions, resolve customer problems, and follow teller policy while maintaining positive relations with all contacts, customers, and potential customers.
