This position will provide recordkeeping for financial transactions while handling customer transactions and inquiries efficiently, as well as receiving and paying out money. This position will be located at the Main Office in Romney, WV. Reporting to the EFT / Bookkeeping Supervisor.

Requirements

  • Verbal and written communication proficiency.
  • Stress management/composure.
  • Thoroughness; attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and multi-task.
  • Demonstrated computer skills, preferably working with Microsoft Office products, office systems and programs, and the ability to successfully navigate and maintain current knowledge and skills working with technology.
  • Ability to maintain regular and routine attendance and punctuality.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in customer service or handling cash transactions preferred.
  • Bank-related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide effective customer service for all internal and external customers using in-depth knowledge of company products and programs.
  • Receive checking and savings deposits: verify cash and endorsements, receive proper identification for cash back and issue receipts of deposit.
  • Process savings withdrawals, cash checks, redeem savings bonds, etc.
  • Identify counterfeit currency.
  • Answer basic customer inquiries regarding interest rates, service charges and account histories while complying with disclosure requirements, regulations and consumer privacy policies.
  • Cross-sell bank products and services.
  • Balance drawer daily.
  • Complete debit card maintenance forms and address change forms.
  • Produce and process applicable reports.
  • Provide accurate and timely processing of all incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Maintain FCM (scan and index all appropriate paperwork).
  • Account maintenance and clean up.
  • Assist team members as time allows.
  • Follow all bank policies and procedures.
