About The Position

As a Telemetry, Tracking & Control (TT&C) Systems Engineer, you will own the architecture, requirements, and lifecycle execution of space Command & Control (C2) capabilities within a Common Ground Enterprise (CGE), enabling secure, reliable command and telemetry operations for missile defense space systems.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering or related STEM field
  • 8+ years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree with 6+ years of experience
  • Systems Engineering experience supporting Telemetry, Tracking & Control (TT&C) or Command & Control (C2) systems
  • Experience with space and ground system integration
  • Familiarity with Common Ground Enterprise (CGE) or enterprise ground architectures

Nice To Haves

  • COTS C2 / TT&C platforms (OpenC3 or similar)
  • CCSDS standards, XTCE, and cFS
  • Space command or operational space mission experience
  • Space-Ground and Ground-Antenna ICD development
  • COTS-based C2 system design and integration
  • Databases & Streaming: InfluxDB, Kafka, Redis
  • Platforms: Kubernetes, microservices architecture
  • Cloud: AWS, Red Hat OpenShift (RHOSP)
  • Agile development environments
  • Lab or operational COTS integration alongside integration/test teams
  • Knowledge of antenna build-out, operation, and RF interfaces
  • Familiarity with Ground Entry Point (GEP) as a Service

Responsibilities

  • Lead system architecture, design, and requirements development for Command & Control (C2) within a Common Ground Enterprise (CGE)
  • Design and optimize TT&C system workflows, including:
  • Command queue management and automation
  • Telemetry ingestion, processing, and archival
  • Schema design and data hardening for large satellite constellations
  • Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) to TT&C and C2 architectures
  • Integrate and assess COTS C2 and TT&C tools, including OpenC3 or equivalent platforms
  • Support CCSDS-compliant interoperability, including telemetry and command data standards
  • Develop and manage XTCE telemetry definitions and support cFS-based flight/ground frameworks
  • Support STTC (S-band) RF interfaces and ground system interactions
  • Author and maintain Space-Ground and Ground-Antenna ICDs
  • Support C2 software development, integration, and test, including lab and operational environments
  • Maintain cradle-to-grave systems engineering ownership on a fast-paced program
