Telemetry/Monitor Technician Central Monitor Room Fast-paced area is looking for top skilled Monitor Tech. Is that you? Work location: Texas Health Arlington Memorial, 800 W. Randol Mill Road in Arlington, TX 76012. Work hours: PRN (as needed), Day Shift (7a to 7p). Weekend and holiday requirements. Great growth potential. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
  • Basic understanding of medical terminology
  • 1 year direct patient care experience involving telemetry monitoring and/or completion of educational program which includes telemetry monitoring.
  • BCLS required prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate competency in the set up and use of the telemetry monitoring equipment.
  • Collect, report and document patient information (rhythms/rate) timely and accurately.
  • Distinguish and report abnormalities and initiates action to provide continuity of care.
  • Ensure admission/dismissals are processed promptly; preparations are made to get the monitor ready for admission.
  • Communicate promptly of perceived risks specific to patient safety or immediate need for assistance.
  • Assist with documentation that supports and meets hospital and regulatory requirements.
  • Documents accurately and appropriately.
