ASSYST is seeking for our client in Austin, TX an experienced Telecommunications Manager 2 to lead and oversee Network Services operations in a complex, enterprise environment. This role is responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and security of network infrastructure while providing leadership to cross-functional teams. Job Title: Telecommunications Manager Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid) Key Responsibilities: Provide leadership and oversight of Network Services operations, including WAN, LAN, wireless, SD-WAN, and network security platforms Oversee daily operational activities, including incident management, problem resolution, and service availability Serve as the escalation point for high-priority network and infrastructure issues Coordinate and prioritize workload across Network Services teams, including infrastructure and security-focused functions Support ongoing and planned initiatives, including SD-WAN implementation and optimization, network monitoring and observability tools such as Secure Workload, NGFW, and identity services Provide vendor coordination and oversight for network-related services and contracts Ensure compliance with security standards, policies, and regulatory requirements Participate in change management processes and ensure proper documentation and approvals Collaborate with Infrastructure Engineering, Data Center, Telecom, and Security teams to support cross-functional initiatives Provide status reporting, risk identification, and mitigation planning to leadership Maintain documentation of network architecture, processes, and operational procedures Support knowledge transfer and continuity planning for the return of the permanent Network Services Manager Minimum Qualifications: Minimum 7 years of supervisory or management experience, including providing clear direction to teams, promoting teamwork, and motivating others to accomplish goals Minimum 7 years of experience with administration, maintenance, and design of Cisco VoIP solutions Minimum 5 years of experience managing a networking team in a highly complex environment Proven experience supporting 24x7x365 network, voice, and video environments ASSYST is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
